After earning a Bachelor's degree at Iowa State University in 1986, Smith began his mortgage career at Citicorp in Phoenix.  Based on the dedication, effort and enthusiasm he displayed, Todd was invited to the annual Citicorp President's Club banquet in Hawaii in 1988 where he received the National Rookie of the Year honors.

For the next 10 years, Todd worked for Citi and Metro Fed before coming to the realization that he could better serve his customers/clients by becoming an Independent Mortgage Broker.  Over the last 10+ years, he has developed an expert knowledge of a variety of home loan products offered by various wholesale mortgage lenders to help faciliate custom financing solutions.
